According to the history of the Ashanti gold weights some of the weights were based on proverbs. The weights were designed to represent the proverb in some way. This brings me to the next part of my assignment. I had to choose a proverb to base my piece on, so I choose two proverbs the first was curiosity killed the cat and my second one was the early bird catches the worm. Both these proverbs relate to me, well I am a very curious person and I hate being late, I rather be extremely early than late. I tried to come up with a design for my first proverb, but I could not come up with any. With my second proverb I had more success in designing a piece. I drew up a few designs before I settled on a design.
