Top Jewellery House# Harry Winston

Harry Winston, one of the top jewellery house according to the research I have done in my earlier blog Top Jewellery Houses. Who is Harry Winston? well he was a son of a jeweler. He opened a jewellery company at the age of twenty four, twelve years later he rename his company "Harry Winston". The cosmopolitan magazine dubbed Harry Winston the king of diamonds. He died at the age of 82 in 1978. Most of the jewellery pieces made by the company has precious stones. Five years before his death the company was established international. 

Harry Winston cut a rough diamond into a pear shape diamond. The first owner of this piece auctioned it and was bought by the owner of Cartier.(Well the Cartier is the focus for my next post about the Top Jewellery Houses). The piece was eventually sold to a couple and was rename the Taylor-Burton diamond.
