Bvlgari was the name of a Greek family of silversmith's but today everyone knows the name due to the fact of the jewellery house Bvlgrai. Sotirio born to the family in 1857 was the founder of the Bvlgari jewellery company. Sotirio ventured out on his own and opened a shop in Rome. His work became popular that he could not cope with the work load so he called his family to help and that's were it all started, a family business. Bvlgari became the finest Jewellers in Italy and now it is one of the top jewellery houses
