On Monday I did the investment for my wax tree of birds. Only on Tuesday, I could cast the birds. I was really looking forward to casting, but on Tuesday morning in my drawing class, I fell ill. During break one of my friends had to cast for me just in case I sneezed in the process of melting the brass and I cause an accident. I had to leave campus early so once the flask got cool, I tried to remove the birds, but I could not. One of the lecturers helped me remove the birds from the flask and then I left. Some of the details like the legs did not get cast. From this cast, I learned that the wax object must be at a certain angle for the metal to flow in the mould. Overall I was happy with the cast birds.
